A regular meeting was held on March 4, 2026 at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in the Expo Building with 5 officers and 14 members present.

 

Election of Officers

Officer positions for election were Vice President, Secretary, and Chief Instructor.  Vice President Melinda Kartsonis and Chief Instructor Stan Bithell will remain in their positions for another two-year term.  Madelyn Russell was elected as Secretary for a two-year term.

 

Gate Lock

The gate lock was changed on March 1, 2026 in accordance with WRPC bylaws.

 

Kalispell Gun Show

The Kalispell Gun Show is March 27-29, 2026.  The club will have a booth selling T-Shirts, Raffle Tickets, and memberships.

 

Range Clean Up

WRPC Range Day Clean-up will be on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 8:00 am.  We need volunteers to assist with the clean-up.

 

Hunter Sight-In Dates

October 3-4, 2026 and October 17-18, 2026.  Volunteers will be needed to help with sight-in.

 

Friends of NRA Sponsorship

WRPC is a Sponsor of the Friends of NRA Banquet Fundraiser on April 4, 2026.  If you are interested in sponsoring, donating, or attending contact, Kindee Nelson at 406.799.0042 for more information.

A regular meeting was held on November 5, 2025 at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in the 4-H Building with 4 officers and 6 members present.

 

Range Improvements

Pistol Range new stairs are complete. Volunteers complete with installing the stairs.  This project was a long time coming.  Thanks to everyone who helped in getting the project completed!

 

Hunter Sight-In Days

The Club’s Hunter Sight In was successful over all.  We had 141 Shooters over both weekends.  The second Sunday was cancelled due to weather.  Every year the number of shooters seems to go down.  The advertising campaign that Vice President, Melinda Kartsonis implemented this year was worthwhile.  There has been lots of public interest.  Hunter Sight-In Days are a great public service for the community.

 

January 2026 Orientation and Meeting

There will not be an orientation or meeting in January.  The next meeting will in March 2026.

 

Member Guests

All members bringing guests to the range are responsible for their guest.  All guests must sign a Guest Waiver to be on the premises as soon as you are at the range.  All shooters will practice safe and courteous behavior.

 

Trash Can Bags

All trash cans have an extra bag in each can.  Additional bags are behind the trash cans at both the pistol and rifle ranges.  Please remove all the cardboard brought to the range for targets.  The range does not have garbage service.

 

Reminders

AR Style Pistols with necked casings should be shot on Rifle Range Only

Shotgun should only be shot at the north-end of Pistol Range on your own Target Boards.  Never on any WRPC Products!  Please pickup your shotgun hulls and throw them away in the trash cans.

RANGE WORK DAY

The Range will be closed September 13, 2025, starting at 8:00 am until work is done.  Will probably be back open early afternoon.

 

HUNTER SIGHT-IN

October 4, 5, 18, and 19, 2025 from 9am to 4pm at the Rifle Range.  Both the Rifle Range and the Pistol Range will be closed during this time.

The Hunter Education Field Day was held on May 31, 2025.  The day was a success.

A regular meeting was held on May 7, 2025 at the Whitefish Rifle Range with 5 officers and 12 members present.

 

Range Clean Up – Range Clean Up on Saturday, April 26, 2025 went well.  Replaced a couple of posts and all backer boards at both Pistol and Rifle Ranges.  Cleaned up garbage at both ranges, burned several piles of debris and hung the bathroom signs.  We had a great turn out and were able to complete it all in about 2 hours for the most part.  Thanks to all the volunteers of the day.

 

Hunter Education Field Day – The Pistol Range will be closed on May 31, 2025 for Hunter Education Field Day.

A regular meeting was held on March 5, 2025 at the Flathead County Fairgrounds under the bleachers with 4 officers and 10 members present.

Election of Officers – Officer positions for election were President, Treasurer, and Executive Officer.  President Justin Beauregard and Treasurer Kindee Nelson will remain in their positions for another two-year term.  Brian Cole was elected as Executive Officer for a two-year Term.

Gate Lock – The gate lock was changed on March 1, 2025 in accordance with WRPC bylaws.

Kalispell Gun Show – The Kalispell Gun Show is March 21-23, 2025.  The club will have a booth selling T-Shirts, Raffle Tickets, and memberships.

A regular meeting was held on November 6, 2024 at the Whitefish Rifle Range with 6 officers and 6 members present.

Range Improvements – Pistol Range new stairs and handrail have been installed.  The club will need volunteers to help put on the roof.   Tentatively scheduled for the first week of December.  Will send email and update calendar with date and time.

Hunter Education Field Day – The Hunter Education Field Days were a success.  The club received a nice “Thank You” letter from MFWP.  Almost 100 students were trained and certified this year.

Hunter Sight-In Days – The club’s Hunter Sight In was successful over all.  We had 161 Shooters over both weekends.  Every year the number of shooters seems to go down.  It is a great public service for the community.  The club will advertise on social media next year.

Range Improvements

Pistol Range new stairs have been installed.  They handrail and roof system are being built and will be installed soon.  After stair installation is complete the club will need to build the roof to cover new stairs.

Hunter Education Field Day

There will be Hunter Education Field Days to be held on September 14, 2024 and September 21, 2024.  The Pistol Range will be closed on both days.

 

Berm and Bunkers

The berms and bunkers have been put on hold for now.

 

Road Grading

The road has been graded.  Thank you to member Brian Cole for organizing the grading of the road.  Just a reminder to please slow down on the road.

Hornet Traps

Hornet Traps were hung at both ranges on September 4, 2024.  There are 3 traps at both the pistol range and the rifle range.  Both ranges have fly traps and mosquito traps.
