Range Lease. We were able to finalize a new lease for the rifle range with the DNRC.
New Range Standard Operating Procedures and Liability Waiver, One of the items required by the DNRC for our new lease was a “Safety Plan” for the range. We have adopted a new Range SOP as this plan. Every member will be required to read and understand this new plan and sign a waiver of liability. What this means is all member will be required to attend a safety orientation before being given a key beginning March 2017. If you are an existing member in 2016 you can attend an orientation and sign the new SOP & Liability waiver at any time between now and March 1st.
All guests, of members using the range will be required to sign a Liability Waiver at the range. This waiver includes children under 18 who must have their parent or guardian sign the waiver for them. These forms are available at the range. Please sign them and leave them in the box provided.
Women on Target, was held on Saturday July 16th, with 18 women attending and again was a resounding success.
Hunters Sight-in was held October 1st & 2nd, and again on October 15th & 16th, and we made over $1400.
Plans for 2017
Range Improvements, during our spring cleanup we are planning on the doing the following items. Repairing all of the firing berms, fixing the 300yd target boards which are leaning because of the hill sliding. New range signs around the range and signage on the road and at the firing lines. Also if there is money available possible road improvements for roads out to target boards.
March meeting will be our annual meeting with election of officers. The President, Treasurer, and Executive Officer, are up for election based on our new bylaws in 2016.
